The Work and the Glory: A House Divided

I've got great news today. I found out that the film I did last year "The Work and the Glory 3: A House Divided will be going Nationwide on April 2007. Not sure if it is coming here to NY but so far the closest state will be Pennsylvania. I just saw the trailer and I am so excited and I pray that this film will move me into the next level of success. God is the author of my success and I am right on track. I also pray that I book another film before the year is out, so far I'm am still waiting to hear from "Third Miracle." I'll let you know. Keep Praying and keep believing.

Butterfly Wings Update

Well, I have had an eventful 3 weeks in North Carolina. Rehearsals went well. Curtis Blake is a cool guy. He offered me a part in his new play he wrote and is starring in. So I will update the blog when I get the full details on the offer. So now I am back home and now I feel like I have a lot more work to do before the show October 27 and 28th. This is the first time I get to play the Engenue/Fem Fatale, and I am the comic relief at that. So that is a quite intriging combination. I am trying to lose some weight before the production so I am on a strict low cal diet, I have combined the Cabbage Soup diet with the Beyonce Cayanne Pepper diet. We will see if I will reach my goal. Among watching my weight, I also have to continue studying my lines daily as well as hope to get another temp job to replenish the fundage. I will be heading back out to NC on the 20th where I will get with the Choreographer for my club scene. Well that is all for now.

Butterfly Wings Update - Accomplished

God is so awesome, when something is for you it is for you. It is the final confirmation that sets in the whole deal.

Here is the confirmation message from the film company.

Kubbi,

Hope all is well....

We are very interested in you being a part of the "Butterfly Wings" production. In fact, we down right love you! Right now, though, we are debating which role you would be better suited for (Kee Kee or Belle), since you're excellent at both. We should let you know within the next week for which role -- if you're still interested.

Keep in mind that for either role, which are about equally important, what is your pay scale?

Thanks in advance. Look forward to working with you.

Have a great day!

The Journey Continues with Butterfly Wings.

Wednesday, August 2, 2006 Well, I drove back down to NC for my callback pursuation of the producers. It went well. I had to do a rap and I am so glad I knew at least part of one. "I'm conceited" by Remy Ma. I had just listed to it in the car to help build up my confidence that I can get this part. So I had the producers laughing and they seemed really pleased. So after I was there for 2 hours helping some of the other actors with their part (reading opposite of them) for their audition, the director told me that another Casting director that I had previously worked with last september on a US Army industrial was looking for me. So of course I was exited at the fact that the director actually knew the casting director I worked with previously so I'm thinking God you are awesome. So as soon as I got into my car I called him. And he has a part he wants me to audition for. It is a lead for a major film that will be shot in SC. So as I am waiting for the final word on Butterfly Wings, I am also preparing to play a 14 year old southern girl. So keep prayers up so blessings can come down.

Updates on my Journey

Monday, July 17, 2006 11:51 PM
To: Beverly BrockSubject: Butterfly Wings Cast Call
Hi, Beverly! I've attached the Casting Call for Butterfly wings.
As for the actors we'd like to callback, please send them at 10:00, so that they can be seen first. Kubbi to read for Belle and Kee KeeI know I said I didn't need to see Kubbi again, but I think it might be in her best interest to help me persuade some producers, if she were able to come down.

Thanks!

Well I will be on my way back to wow the producers on July 29th. I have to remember to be real and honest in my approach to the character and just be. Be confident, Be sure and most of all be consistent and make good character choices.

Updates On My Journey

Butterfly Wings Response to my Audtion June 8th 2006 in North Carolina - telephoned into The Brock Agency

Beverly: Thanks for sending such wonderful talent to audtion for Butterfly Wings! They came from all over, and they each made an excellent impression. We were particularly dazzled by Kubbi. We are holding auditions for other characters on July 29th, and I would like to schedule a time for the following actors to come in for a callback:Kubbi for Belle or KeeKee (both large supporting roles) I understand if Kubbi is unable to return, due to how far away she is. She gave a wonderful audition, and I think I have seen all I need from her. If I decide I need to see her again, I'll let you know, and we can work something out so she's not wasting gas.

Call Backs are July 29th, 2006

So I'm just waiting on the final word and my contract. So I'm believing that it is already mine.
